Ambassador (Sen.) Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, Phd (Cantab), calls for Calm in Ondo State APC.
Calls for calm and patience have continued to trail the APC primary election process in Ondo State, as stakeholders urge party members to await official confirmation from the national leadership. Speaking on the situation, Jimoh Ibrahim advised supporters to remain peaceful and orderly, emphasizing that the authentic results of the All Progressives Congress primaries will be announced in Abuja by the party’s National Working Committee.
According to him, any result being circulated or announced at the state level should be treated with caution, as only invalid outcomes are handled locally. This clarification comes amid growing concerns over the spread of unofficial and misleading reports regarding the primary election results.
Party faithful and members of the public have therefore been urged to disregard what has been described as “fake results” allegedly being promoted within the state. Reports suggest that such results were written in favor of some supposed consensus aspirants backed by the state government, a move that was firmly rejected by party leaders and stakeholders who insisted on due process and transparency.
Observers within the party maintain that the integrity of the electoral process remains intact and that the National Working Committee will, in due time, release the verified and comprehensive results. This assurance is intended to calm tensions and prevent unnecessary unrest among supporters.
“Be peaceful in your conduct our party APC Primary election results will be announced in Abuja. Only invalid results will be announced at the state level”. He said.
In light of these developments, APC members are encouraged to exercise patience and avoid being misled by unverified information. The leadership’s commitment to fairness and credibility, they insist, will ultimately prevail once the official announcement is made.
As anticipation builds, the message remains clear, remain calm, stay informed through credible channels and await the final declaration from Abuja in the coming days.
