In a major boost to grassroots educational infrastructure, Distinguished Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, has confirmed the allocation of two blocks of classrooms under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiative to Ese-Odo and Ilaje Local Government Areas.
The initiative, facilitated through the Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, involves the construction of two blocks of classrooms, each consisting of four classrooms, in every senatorial district across Nigeria.
According to a formal letter dated June 16, 2025, and signed by Mrs. Matina Sampson, Clerk of the Committee, senators were directed to submit specific project locations and contact information by June 25, 2025.
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, in a statement made on the Osawa platform, disclosed:
“The above projects from me will go to Ese-Odo and Ilaje Local Governments for your information. As soon as I know the contractor from the SGF office, I will let everyone know his phone numbers. Thank you all for your support.”
This move has been widely praised as a strategic investment in the educational development of riverine communities often overlooked in national projects.
With this bold and transparent allocation, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim continues to reinforce his commitment to inclusive development and grassroots empowerment in Ondo South.
